Eco Acustica

SUSTAINABLE AND INNOVATIVE SURFACES FOR ADAPTIVE ACOUSTICS

On the basis of the convincing studies already carried out, we are aiming at developing a system of performing surfaces for interior architecture, capable of intelligently controlling the various disciplines and psychophysical conditions of people. To do this, we act on the development of a product and on the development of an integrated design and manufacturing process.

The system is based on the combination of the Wood-SKIN composite material, and the use of a cork panel for sound absorption. The first one creates a light three-dimensional structural that adapts to the architecture in which it is inserted and to the acoustic needs. This is made possible by the shapes and origami that change at work, generating an “acoustic chamber” every time different from one of the needs. With a simple movement, it will be possible to make an absorbent panel in a  reflecting panel, to guarantee, for example, the intelligibility of a speaker’s speech.

The goal of offering customized environments, the need to enhance a stratified building heritage is the technology of an innovative approach, which offers a flexible and versatile product, able to meet diversified needs.
